Why are educators and researchers using us?
Scale
Our system is optimised for large scale assessments but works just as well for small scale projects.
Reliability
We process millions of scripts per year, which means our system is robust, well supported, and regularly updated.
Expertise
Active in publishing academic research on Comparative Judgement, we can assist with your research design.
Here’s a summary of how it works
  • Create your own task where you can decide on the number of pages and the template for the assessment sheets.
  • Upload your candidate details and automatically generate coded answer sheets.
  • Alternatively, upload existing, individual PDFs to the task.
  • Send out the judging sign-up link to colleagues and control the number of judgements completed by each.
  • On completion of the judging, download spreadsheets of results for the candidates including scaled scores and infit values.
  • View the overall reliability of the assessment task and also the accuracy of individual judges (who can be excluded if required).
Benefits of a free account
Free to use
Educators and research organisations can set their own tasks and use Comparative Judgement for internal assessments and research projects.

Accuracy
Research consistently finds that Comparative Judgement delivers the accuracy of double or triple marking in a similar time or less than single marking.

Validity
The marks derived from judging are consistent with the average marks derived from double or triple marking essays.

Anonymised assessment
We provide Optical Character Recognition sheets for students to write on. When you upload the sheets the student names magically disappear, but they will still be matched to your data.

Robust data controls
Every judge’s performance is recorded, and decisions made by unreliable judges can be removed from the results.
